Adela wanted to be just like her sisters. She had to use a backpack.
The second day was not so smooth. Michaela didn't want to go to school. I pushed her in and she would come right out. I had to help her hang up her backpack and pushed her farther in the room. Finally an aide came an kind of ushered her in the room. She looked so sad. The teacher called me during lunch and told me she was fine. She had to give her a little love and then they were able to get down to business.
Each day is getting easier.
Today is Scrapbook Sunday!! Scrapbook Sunday is brought to us by Holly of Girls At Heart and Noelle of Lil' Bits and Pieces Of Me.I am starting to like the look of Digital Scrapbooking. But until Santa can give me Adobe Photshop Elements 7 I found a website that does it for free. It is called Scrapbook Flair. It is free but restricting. You can't bring in elements from another company. You can only use what they offer. If you look around there is alot of stuff. So this will do...until Santa comes down the chimney!!
I took the pictures last week of Adela. She feel asleep in the rocking chair. This is my first digi scrap page. Kind of basic right now. I am still learning. It is also not as bright. It just will not let me save it, so I had to go around, turn to html and then do a save as. So the end result on my blog is not so bright, but on my computer and printed it is:)To see more Scrapbook Sunday layouts please go visit Lil' Bits and Pieces Of Me!!
p.s. I still love do traditional scrapbooking. I will never give up cutting and pasting!!
p.s.s. Gals I am feeling a lot better. Thanks alot for your cyberhugs and comments! It means so much!!
On the way up there we found out that Parker is car sick. Yup...we had to stop twice to clean a mess:p
It rained the first day we were there. So we just stayed in most of the day. Which was actually okay to me. It gave us a chance to relax.
Here are some pictures that I took. I took a lot but I thought I would spread it out through out the week.
As I said before it rained the first day. In the evening time after it stopped we walk around and I saw this leaf. I thought it looked pretty so I took a picture.
The second day was nicer. Here is Adela playing in the sand.
While Sydney mainly just sat around, Parker was all over the place. At times we had to chain him up. Parker cried every night when we went to sleep. I guess he wasn't used to the place. One day we had to go to the store and he pooped in his cage!! He made such a mess! I told Jason he did it on purpose because he was pissed we left. Jason said he is not that smart. I am telling ya...the dog is evil:)
Before Lindsey and Michaela left to go up north, the girls played Dogs. Michaela was the human and Lindsey and Adela were the dogs. Adela actually just wanted to lay with her sister and chill. Lindsey was in character:)We also use the top of the cage for storage! LOL!! I usaually have to clean it up before Parker goes in there or he will pull whatever he can down and chew it during the night!!
I took this during our Wisconsin trip. It is the vintage look. It was also very chilly that day. It was so windy and cold that my ears hurt!
Jason took this of the kids and me walking on the pier in Wisconsin. It is the soft glow look. Not sure if I like it. Any way...so you see the pidgeon poop on the ground. It was everywhere! I was so surprised we never got hit in the head by a poop bomb:)
This I took of Adela right before she blew out her birthday candles. She was so happy. I cropped it and use the "make the picture look better setting". I think that setting just lightens up the picture a bit. Then I used the sepia toned look. This is my favorite setting. The only thing was it makes it look like her teeth are bad.
Here is the double layout. This is Lindsey when she was about a year. She was hanging over at Grandma and Grandpa's.
Here is the right side... I was trying to be all creative with my journaling, but you can see the glue thru the vellum:p
To see more Scrapbook Sunday layouts please go visit Noelle's blog.
Also, Anissa over at Our Chaotic Life has inspired me to see if I can turn my photos into sepia tone. It took me fifty years to figure it out, but I Can!!
Today is Foto Friday over at The Sisterhood of Scrap. We are to show two pictures we took this past week. One with people and the other no people. The one to the left is of Michaela sleeping and Adela wanting to go over there and bug Michaela.
Then I realized the only picture I took without people was the picture I took of a drawing Lindsey did for her blog. Yeah, that girl is nuts for animals.
