Caught!

Before Lindsey and Michaela left to go up north, the girls played Dogs. Michaela was the human and Lindsey and Adela were the dogs. Adela actually just wanted to lay with her sister and chill. Lindsey was in character:)

We also use the top of the cage for storage! LOL!! I usaually have to clean it up before Parker goes in there or he will pull whatever he can down and chew it during the night!!

Take Me Back Tuesday: My Dad

It is time for Take Me Back Tuesday, brought to us by A Giveaway Addicted Mommy.

This is a picture of my Dad. This past Sunday, June 28, would have been his 72nd birthday. His name was Charles Michael, but he hated Charles so he only went by Michael. He was in the Marines at the time of the Korean War, but was not sent over to Korea. He was very proud of the Marines.

During my parent's honeymoon they drove to Virginia on the way they pick up a hitchhiker. The only reason why they pick him up was because he was a Marine. My Mom was slightly against it, but my Dad said they had to help the guy out. Very Proud.

I miss him.

Recipe Swap Monday: Cheesy Green Onion Corn Saute'

Photobucket

It is time for Anissa's Recipe Swap Monday!

Cheesy Green Onion Corn Saute'

1 TBSP olive oil
1 (16-oz.) pkg. frozen corn, thawed and drained
1/4 cup chopped green onions
1/2 cup cheddar cheese

Heat oil in large skillet on medium-high heat. Add corn and green onions and cook and stir for 3 minutes or until heated through. Sprinkle cheese and cover for 20 seconds.

Easy Peasy!! I use this as a side dish. Sometimes I just use canned corn and drain the juice. Adds a twist to plain ol' corn:)

Scrapbook Sunday: Halloween 2001

Hey! It is time for Scrapbook Sunday and I have missed a few! Scrapbook Sunday is brought to us by Holly of Girls At Heart and Noelle of Lil' Bits and Pieces Of Me.
This page is of Lindsey and her first Halloween. Michaela and Adela have also worn this outfit for Halloween. It used to have a button and you would hear Winnie The Pooh. It is now broken after so many washings.

Father's Day Card and Stuff

Wow, I haven't been blogging much this past week. I remember when I first started I was on all the time!! What happened? I know...Summer:)

This is the card I made for Jason's Dad for Father's Day. I thought it was kind of plain. What I was planning just didn't come to life. Jason and his Dad thought it was good. Okay, I will take it:)

Well this past Thursday, Jason's parents took Lindsey and Michaela up to their cottage for about three weeks. Adela is still with me. It will be like a vacation!!

Later that day we had a train thunderstorm come through. One came right after the other. The first one was bad. We had hurricane force winds!! I swear the windows were moving!! We didn't lose power but others in the city did. Lucky, until Friday afternoon.

Adela and I went to visit a friend for half the day and when I got back I realized we had lost power!! I guess they had to turn our neighborhood off so they could work on the rest of the city. Adela was a little mad. She couldn't watch TV!! As soon as it came back on, right away she was telling me to put on "Dragon Tales". Geez, no patience:)

Messing Around With the Computer

For the past week I have been messing around with the photo program that we have on our computer. I am trying to figure how to print words on the pictures and if I can add color to black and white pictures. I don't think I can. Our program is really generic.

I took this during our Wisconsin trip. It is the vintage look. It was also very chilly that day. It was so windy and cold that my ears hurt!
Jason took this of the kids and me walking on the pier in Wisconsin. It is the soft glow look. Not sure if I like it. Any way...so you see the pidgeon poop on the ground. It was everywhere! I was so surprised we never got hit in the head by a poop bomb:)

This I took of Adela right before she blew out her birthday candles. She was so happy. I cropped it and use the "make the picture look better setting". I think that setting just lightens up the picture a bit. Then I used the sepia toned look. This is my favorite setting. The only thing was it makes it look like her teeth are bad.

There is even a setting that makes you look thinner! I will be using that feature when I am scrapping any photos of me:)
