Here is the sketch we were to use and the 5 requirements I chose to do was
I also am entering my layout in Create For Fun Color Challenge. We were to use light pink, medium violet and gray.
Opps! Just realized I forgot to put a flaggy thing on top. Oh well. You all have a nice weekend. It is supposed to be cooler. That would be nice to have fresh air!I saw this meme on Chasing Little Crocs thru Facebook and thought it was so sweet! It is called Baby Picture Sundays and you play at Who Says 8 Is Enough? The theme for this week is: It's A Shore Thing.
So I dug up photos of Lindsey back in 2002. It was one of our many trips Up North.

This was before my digi camera so I can't really see her face in the last one:(
Let's see your kid's baby pictures over at Who Says 8 is enough?
Here is the current sketch from Sketchy Thursdays. I had fun with this sketch.
I sprinkled white paint on the background. Unfortunately the pictures are dark. This was before I had my digi camera. The title is a sticker that reads The Wonders Of Winter. Lindsey was introducing Michaela to the snow. She was and is so happy to have a sister:)AHHHH! Work just called me and said I didn't have to go in today because of the snow! Yeah!!
Here is the current sketch over at Sketchy Thursdays.
Here is what I came up with last night. Lindsey loved holding her little sister. She was always asking me to hold her. Of course the camera cord got in the way:p
Here is a sketch from Sketchy Thursdays.
Here is my take on the sketch. This page looks a lot nicer in person. The middle embellie is supposed to be darker but because the sticker is kind of glossy there is a glare. I had written the names of the people and the year. Jason likes it but that is because brown is his favorite color and the picture is of his Dzia Dzia. Who would pass away five months from when this picture was taken. It was New Years 2005. Lindsey was 4, Michaela was 3 months and the other girl is Karrigan, who is the girl's cousin. Jason's Dzia Dzia and Grandma are also in the picture.
As some of you may already know...I got the job and I start next week Wednesday. I am really trying to feel good about it. The place seems relax and easy going. I can even wear sweatpants if I want!! Whoa!!
Here is a sketch from Sketchy Thursdays. One of my favorite challenge blogs. I am trying to do every one of their sketches along with Sketch Inspiration.
Here is my take on the sketch. I was gonna use my kids Crayola spray paint maker but it is the mess free kind where you use that special paper. So I couldn't get a spray paint effect. Instead, I used a snowlike embossing powder in that area. I hope you can see it.I mentioned this on twitter..I have a job interview this Thursday. It is a part time retail job at a scrapping store. The store is one of my favorites. I just have all these different feelings. We can use the extra money that I may be bringing in, but I feel anxious, nervous and a little sad. I have been a SAHM for nine years. Parts of me don't want to go back to work. I would have to go back to work in a year and a half anyway because Adela will be in kindergarten. The hours would work for us. Nights and weekends. In a way, I feel it is the universes way of telling me take this one now because I may not get another chance.
Here is a sketch from Sketch Inspiration. It is a new scrapping/challenge site I just joined. They only been around since the beginning of December. I am hoping it helps me through my sadness that 52 Sketches 52 Weeks is no longer operating in blogland:(
Here is my take on it. It was another Christmas 2004 layout. It is of Lindsey and Michaela. One of my resolutions is to improve on my blogging. I have been a little sluggish the past few months. Of course this week put a wrench in that plan. As I mentioned in the last post I was feeling under the weather, well the virus got a little mean and a few days there I was wiped out. I just went on Facebook so my crops on the farm games wouldn't die;) Thanks for sticking with me!
Here is Sketchy Thursday's current sketch.
Here is my take on it. It is really simple. But the picture is the most important part! It is Lindsey when she was just about a year. Don't ya just love it when babies sleep with their butt in the air!!?? For the journaling I used the first verse of "Hush Little Baby".
Here is a sketch from Unscripted Sketches. I usually just do cards with their sketches but this time I did a layout.
Here is my take on the sketch. I had Michaela on the floor and Lindsey decided she needed a house. So she put all her stuff animals in a circle.
