Opps! Guess I Won't Do That Again!

I wanted to get all the dishes in the dishwasher. So I put one of our cups on the bottom rack These cups are at least 20 years old. We got them when Jason's parents updated their cups from the cottage a while ago. So here is the original shape.

Opps! It melted!! I guess when they say "top rack only" they weren't kiddin'!!
So, yesterday was my third day at work and it was not so bad. They not only had me at the register, they had me stocking and putting the page kits together. Which was nice cuz it kept me busy. I fell in love with one of the page kits and used my employee discount for the first time!! I am off til Wednesday so we shall see how next week goes.

I am hoping to catch up on some computer fun. By the time I get home it is about 11:50 or midnight and I am just too tired. Which is strange because I used to stay up til 2 in the morning!!

The First SBS Sketch Challenge

I made this card for our first sketch challenge with The Sisterhood Of the Blogging Stampers #26.

This past Saturday we went to a birthday party 3 hours away! It was 8 o'clock when they decided to open the birthday presents, but we had to go. Our ride turn in to a 5 hour ride home because the highway close to our home closed and they had to direct traffic of the closest ramp. There was a bad accident that they were still investigating. We were stuck there for about an hour and a half. Poor Adela had peed so much in her diaper she was uncomfortable and cried alot near the end. I was so tempted to take her out of her seat and change her diaper in the slow moving car. But I didn't, just to dangerous. You never know what could happen. So she cried herself to sleep. I felt so bad.

We should have gotten home about 11:30. We didn't get home until 1:00 am! Unfortunately a lady had died from that accident. I felt bad for being frustrated.

On an upnote, Lindsey and Michaela came home tonight after spending about three weeks with their Grandparents up at their cottage. It is louder in the house, but it is good to have them home. I think Michaela actually grew physically and mentally! She just seemed older. I was a tad sad. She was gone for just three weeks!! She seems like she is a year older!! Stop Growing!!

Father's Day Card and Stuff

Wow, I haven't been blogging much this past week. I remember when I first started I was on all the time!! What happened? I know...Summer:)

This is the card I made for Jason's Dad for Father's Day. I thought it was kind of plain. What I was planning just didn't come to life. Jason and his Dad thought it was good. Okay, I will take it:)

Well this past Thursday, Jason's parents took Lindsey and Michaela up to their cottage for about three weeks. Adela is still with me. It will be like a vacation!!

Later that day we had a train thunderstorm come through. One came right after the other. The first one was bad. We had hurricane force winds!! I swear the windows were moving!! We didn't lose power but others in the city did. Lucky, until Friday afternoon.

Adela and I went to visit a friend for half the day and when I got back I realized we had lost power!! I guess they had to turn our neighborhood off so they could work on the rest of the city. Adela was a little mad. She couldn't watch TV!! As soon as it came back on, right away she was telling me to put on "Dragon Tales". Geez, no patience:)
