V-Day Card

Here is a Valentine's Day card I made using the Stamp of the Month for February from Stamp-n-Doodle.
I am also using the sketch from Paper Secrets January card sketch challenge. Also my card was chosen for the weekly gallery!!! So excited when that happens!

I am also entering this card in two other challenges:

• Cupcake Craft Challenge: Anything to do with LOVE.
• Use It Tuesday: LOVE and as always a hoarded supply. Mine is the paper which I have had for years and the buttons which I got about 3 years ago.

Howdy Card

Time for a new challenge over at Stamp-n-Doodle. It is a pet theme challenge. I am using the Madison & Buddy image. Remember that you don't have to use a Stamp-n-Doodle image but if you do you get two entries into the challenge.
I am also using this card for the Paper Secrets Twisted Card Hop. Go there for complete instructions. I am playing with Shemaine Smith's blog's sketch and "Twist" She is the last Design Team member on the blog hop. Not only do you have to do the sketch but you have do to the "twist". The "twist" being....use buttons.

Guess What? I am going to be making another bracelet. This time it will be Nialaya inspired. Wouldn't it be cool if I made money off of some of the crafts I make. Sometimes my crafts look like crap but sometimes I amaze myself:)

Chillin' At the Zoo Layout

It is so HOT outside!! Just thought I share;)

This is the 10th installment of Paper Secrets Scrap Your Butt Off.
Here is the sketch we were to use and the 5 requirements I chose to do was

• eyelets
• photo corners
• border punch
• staples
• twine

I am also entering this layout at Use It Tuesday. We were to do anything animal related. You are also supposed to use something that you have had in your stash for a long time. For me, it was the animal stickers. I had those since the mid 1990s!!

Stay cool and cross your fingers for no rolling blackouts. I will cross for your community and you will cross for mine;)

Memorial Day Layout

I am participating in an event over at Paper Secrets. It is called Scrap Your A$$ Off. But, when I talk about it at home I say Butt...Got to be careful around the kids;) Each week you have to finish a layout in one week. If you finish you move on to the next round. We are now on the 3rd week.

This is the first week's layout. The sketch that we were expected to use was from Page Maps. We were to also use 5 items from a list of ten supplies.

I picked:

• Photo corners ( I made it)
• buttons
• flowers
• ribbon
• rubons

The layout is of Memorial Day 2005. We went to the parade with the kids.

Another Mother's Day Card With A Thanks

I hope everyone had a great Mother's Day!!

It's Monday again...time for another challenge over at Stamp-n-Doodle!! This time it is a theme challenge. We are to make a thank you card with the challenge. Happy Monday! It sure is over here. The girls have the week off for spring break! As this post is going live I am still sleeping;)

I made this to share with you today. This is my second frame ever!! I am having so much fun making the frames. This time I waited for the ink on the edges to dry before I put Mod Podge all over the frame. I think I just might make one for every holiday!!

'Tis the Season Blog Hop

Hi and welcome to my blog if you are here for the 'Tis the Season! Blog Hop. If you are following the list then you came here from Rita Hutcheson-Cobb. After me is The Paisley Turtle.

The project I did for the blog hop was a frame. This was the first time I did a frame.
I had all the materials expect for the frame which I bought at the Salvation Army for 99 cents. Also the first time I ever used Mod Podge!!
I used this with Paper Secret's technique challenge. The technique was to make an embellie similar to the snowflake on the frame I made. Click here to see some more examples and a link to the tutorial.
The picture was taken December of 2008. We had a snowstorm hit us and after my husband snowplowed and shoveled the snow we had massive mounds. My girls are sitting on one. That was a great 3 day weekend! School had been canceled!!

Birthday Card and Who's Birthday?

Hey you all...long time no see!! I just can't believe I am not blogging like I used too.

I made this birthday card with two challenges.

I used Unscripted Sketches sketch challenge. Though while I did the card a few days ago I am late entering the challenge. But still must give credit.
I also used the color challenge over at Paper Secrets.
Now the card looks better in person. I had ink the edges with Tim Holtz's Distess Ink Maple Stain but it looks so stark! Like I used black ink.

p.s. It is my birthday today. I was supposed to work but because not a lot of people are scrapping...I got the day off!!
