I think they are just so beautiful!
Here we are visiting Santa this past weekend after the girls got their H1N1 shot. Adela was being difficult so I had to be in the picture. Jason thought it could be a family shot so he joined.

Here is the end result. Now usually my Husband does the, "Oh ya nice" or the "uh huh looks good." This time he actually had a wow look on his face and said "Wow, that looks good!" For me, that is a moment!Guess what? I won a giveaway!! Sherry Steveson had a giveaway over at 52 Sketches 52 Weeks. We were to show a layout using a lemon photo. I won her scrapbooking book!
I love anything scrapping!! Can't wait for this to come in the mail!!
Any who, to the card.
Here is the sketch from Unscripted Sketches.
Here is my take on that sketch.
I am also using this for a challenge at The Corrosive Challenge Blog. We were to use an embossing technique. Either wet or dry. I used embossing powder for the snowflakes.
The adhesive I am using is not sticking well. I have been using Ad Tech Glue Runner. It is the kind where it is repositional then becomes permanent. Well...when is the permanent gonna start! I noticed all the stuff I have been doing in the past two weeks is falling apart! So, now I gotta go back to the store and get better stuff and fix all my work:(
Melissa and Amy over at Frugal Creativity is having a virtual cookie exchange. The last time I did an exchange it was 2002!! My batch is Peppermint Candy Cookies. Now when I made mine, it didn't look like this:
I couldn't get perfect swirls. But it was still good:)3/4 cup granulated sugar
2/3 cup of vegetable oil
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon of vanilla
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/2 teaspoon of peppermint extract
2 eggs
2 cups of all-purpose flour
put aside:
about 1/4 cup of granulated sugar
about 1/4 cup of red colored sugar
Heat oven to 400 degrees. Mix 3/4 cup sugar, the oil, baking powder, vanilla, salt, peppermint extract and eggs in large bowl with spoon. Stir in flour.
Drop dough by teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. (I use parchment paper) Press bottom of glass onto dough to grease, then dip into 1/4 cup of granulated sugar; press on balls until 1/4 inch thick. Spoon red sugar on cookies, using very small spoon, in spiral design to look like peppermint candies. Or place red sugar in resealable plastic food storage bag; snip off tiny corner. Squeeze red sugar from bag on cookies.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until light brown. Remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. Cool completely, about 30 minutes.
For more cookies, go visit Frugal Creativity. They have a linky and every post they are doing until the end of November is cookies!! YUM!!

Here is a sketch from Sketchy Thursdays.
Here is my take on that sketch. It was Thanksgiving 2004. This was when Michaela was just a month and a half, Lindsey was just under 4 years and their cousin Karrigan.I am also using it for a challenge over at Use Your Stash. We were to use fall colors in our layout.
I did this Christmas card for a challenge at 365 Cards. We were to make a card that can also be an ornament. The small red paper reads Happy Holidays. For the pom poms on the penguins hats I used glitter. Unfortunately the picture doesn't give the card justice. But my kids gushed over it:)
This sketch came from 52 Sketches 52 Weeks.
Here is my take on that sketch. I was waking up Lindsey and put baby Michaela in bed with her. Lindsey liked her sister there in bed Lindsey was quite not 4 yet. Now she is almost 9!! She totally lost her baby look:(

Your Animal is the Bear |
![]() You are courageous and a even bit primal. You're aggressive when it comes to getting what you want. And when it comes to defending your family, you won't back down... ever! You have good instincts, and you always know what you should do. You're a natural protector and warrior. You are also quite playful and adventurous. You love to wander. You have a lot of energy to burn! |

I used it for the color combo #22 challenge at Scrapmaster's Paradise Color Combos
I also used it for Unscripted Sketches. I used #30 sketch.
Here is my take on the color challenge and sketch. I am thinking not to shabby:) Actually my cousin's wife liked the card. So...I did my job:)Thanks for looking at my card. Hope this coming week goes smooth for us all!
