Scrapbook Sunday:Only Daddy
Hi y'all! It is Scrapbook Sunday, which is brought to us by Holly of Girls At Heart and Noelle of Lil' Bits and Pieces Of Me.
We are still on Lindsey's first birthday party. As I mentioned before, Lindsey only wanted Daddy to hold her. She is now 8 years old and Daddy is still her favorite. I know she loves me and I am the one she goes to if she is sick or hurt, but there is something about Daddy. That is okay because Michaela and Adela are still mine:):)
I used a Stampin' Up kit. I love using kits cuz you know that the whole thing will go together. No guess work:)

Period Drama Challenge:A Very Long Engagement
A few months ago I watch "A Very Long Engagement" for the Period Drama Challenge over at Lights, Camera...History. It was based on a book by the same name written by Sebastien Japrisot. I am using this movie for the All Over the World catagory(1 movie per country). The movie takes place in France.
A little tidbit...Jodie Foster is in the movie!!! It is a small part, but there she is and she is speaking French beautifully!!!

My Introduction To Patrick Swayze
It is a video of the ABC mini-series, "North and South" . This was my introduction to Patrick Swayze. I was only 14 when it came out and was not allowed to watch it. My bed time was 9 o'clock.....so I watch in secret. I had a TV in my room which was upstairs and they could not here me. He He.
My Mom knew. On Saturday she came up stairs to watch it with me and I was able to stay up Sunday to watch the finale...downstairs.:)
My obsession started and I had dedicated a corner of my room to Patrick Swayze.
I have never cried for a celebrity when they died, even when Princess Diana and JFK Jr. died, but I did last week when Patrick Swayze died.

The First Week Of School
Adela wanted to be just like her sisters. She had to use a backpack.
The second day was not so smooth. Michaela didn't want to go to school. I pushed her in and she would come right out. I had to help her hang up her backpack and pushed her farther in the room. Finally an aide came an kind of ushered her in the room. She looked so sad. The teacher called me during lunch and told me she was fine. She had to give her a little love and then they were able to get down to business.
Each day is getting easier.

Period Drama Challenge: The Duchess
- Through the Centuries ( 1 movie per century)
- War & Revolutions
- All Over The World (1 movie per country)1
- Kings & Queens (central polt around royalty) 1
Though I wished I could change War & Revolutions to the Bonnets catagory. Oh Well.
First I want to say I am not a very good reviewer. I never excelled in writing. I never really liked writing papers. So forgive me if my post seems high schoolish. So my first pick was "The Duchess" for the Kings and Queens catagory. It was based on the book by Amanda Forman, "Georgianna, The Duchess of Devonshire". I enjoyed the book. It was about Georgianna Spencer Cavendish who was a great great great aunt of Lady Diana Spencer, the Pincess of Wales.
Well, I was a little disappointed in the movie. The timing of factual things were way off. The movie showed a rape scene and the book mentioned nothing like that happening. Which I was not happy to see. While the book showed that Georgianna was caring and sympathetic, I never felt that from the movie. It felt superficial to me.
Alot of critics gave it three stars. I only would give it two stars.
