Christmas Eve and Job News

Here is a sketch from Sketchy Thursdays. One of my favorite challenge blogs. I am trying to do every one of their sketches along with Sketch Inspiration.
Here is my take on the sketch. I was gonna use my kids Crayola spray paint maker but it is the mess free kind where you use that special paper. So I couldn't get a spray paint effect. Instead, I used a snowlike embossing powder in that area. I hope you can see it.

I mentioned this on twitter..I have a job interview this Thursday. It is a part time retail job at a scrapping store. The store is one of my favorites. I just have all these different feelings. We can use the extra money that I may be bringing in, but I feel anxious, nervous and a little sad. I have been a SAHM for nine years. Parts of me don't want to go back to work. I would have to go back to work in a year and a half anyway because Adela will be in kindergarten. The hours would work for us. Nights and weekends. In a way, I feel it is the universes way of telling me take this one now because I may not get another chance.

Thanks for looking at my layout:)

I just realized that I didn't have you on my new blog's blogroll. DUH.

I hear you about going back to work, it is scary! Of course my reason for staying home wasn't as good as yours. I hope it works out well for you.

I like that layout!

I know what you mean about going back to work. I'll be praying about your interview and your decision. I guess one way to look at it is this: if you have to work, a scrapbooking store is a pretty good place to work!

I totally get the mixed emotions - I dread the day that I have to start working again. I think it's great though that it would be in a store selling something you love! That makes it a little less like work ;)

I bet you'll enjoy working, should you take the job, and adding that layer to your life. Hope it all goes smoothly for ya! :)

Good luck on the interview, they'd be nuts not to want you. Don't think of it as work, think of it as getting paid to be surround by all those yummy paper goods. Does Jasson realize half your pay check might go right back into that store? Plus it might not feel as much like work because it's related to a hobby you love.

That is a beautiful layout!!! As far as the job goes, I think you may find it fulfilling because it's at a store that is related to your favorite hobby! If it's meant to be, it will be! :)
