Blog Advent Tour, All Aboard!

I am honored to be apart of Blog Advent Tour 2008. This party is hosted by Marg at Reading Adventures and Kailana from The Written World. I am new to this blogging thing. I have been blogging since October. I have been following Marg since my beginning and she was my first visitor. Now on to the party!!

Our holidays really start the night of Thanksgiving. Once we put the kids to bed, we pop in "A Christmas Story". This is the first time we watch it every year. We just love this movie. Through out the whole year, we would quote the movie's signature line: "You'll shoot your eye out!" Every year, my husband will repeat, that he too, had a Red Ryder Bibbie Gun.

Then, on Christmas Eve, TBS, our cable station, will air "A Christmas Story" for 24 hours straight. From 8 at night til 8 the next night. As soon as we get home from Christmas Eve dinner at one of the siblings, we turn the TV on to that station. We usually watch 2 halves of the movie as we watch the kids play with their gifts and as we get them ready for bed. Then after they go to bed, we watch the movie from the beginning.

Once, I tried telling my husband what happened to the actor who played Flick (porn star), and he actually got mad at me and said not to ruin the movie for him.

Thank you for stopping by while on the Tour. How many of you have watched a "A Christmas Story"?

I wish you all a happy holidays and a wonderful 2009!

Take care!

Swing Baby Layout

This layout is titled Swing Baby. I had mounted the pictures on cream and brown paper. The title is on cream paper mounted with brown. I had cut out Lindsey and had her "hanging" from a long piece of bown paper with two eyelets. I had glued 3 cream and white buttons to the bottom of the page. I had mentioned that we had bought the seat from a garage sale and that Lindsey loved it, but so did the bees. Now, we know longer have the seat. Too dangerous.

I am sorry it is only one picture. Last night I was not feeling well. I was trying to get through the SITSmas list and I started making mistakes. I knew then, I needed to stop and go to sleep. My husband is sick as well. This morning we were taking turns taking a nap, so the other would watch the kids.

Hopefully later today, I can catch up with everybody's blog.

Take care.
