FFEC April 1A

Little Adventures
I almost forgot about The Flip Flop Edit Challenge!  The pic was taken by Amy, the host of The Flip Flop Edit Challenge, over at her Grandma's just a few days ago!

Me Edit
Click the pics to make larger.

This is what I did...

  • First with Picmonkey I added lens flare, bokeh, and used the eye brighten tool on the bird.
  • Then I went to ipiccy and added the mirror frame.
  • Then went back to Picmonkey to add the bee sticker for my watermark.  Ipiccy has no bee sticker.

The reason why I am using bees is because St. Rita of Cascia is the Patron Saint of hopeless causes, which includes, trying to have a baby, and her symbol is the bee.

Flip Flop Edit Challenge Feb 4B

Little Adventures
Still feeling a bit out of it.  Haven't done much with the computer.  The coughing keeps me up so through out the day I feel so pooped!  Anywho...

The current pic over at Flip Flop Edit Challenge was supplied by the guest judge, Gina Kleinworth of Kleinworth & Co.  The picture is so picturesque, so crisp and clear!  Man, wish I had that kind of talent.

This is what I did:

With ipiccy,
  • I added a blue ray texture from Kawaii & Graph.  The link I have for it takes it to a forum page so I don't have the correct link to the texture itself.
  • Used the Daguerreotype filter.
  • Used the Polaroid Film Filter.
With Gimp,

Time for my own little theme day. I took this pic on January 1, 2008.  It was Adela's first introduction to snow.  We didn't stay out long.  She wasn't crazy about it.

Flip Flop Edit Challenge Feb 3b

Little Adventures
Amy again applied the picture for the current challenge.  I had issues with this edit.  I used Gimp with adding the frame and I had a hard time making it fit.  I fear the pic is distorted a bit.  Still learning photo m_5b5a6c5cae3fb4ab97d3c2752d5fd57b_zps8e617fff.gif

Saturday Revamp 4

saturdayrevampbutton 2 photo saturdayrevampbutton2_zps8dca04e1.jpg

I took the picture in June of 2008.   We had gone to a zoo in Moline, Il.  It was called The Niabi Zoo.  The fish would all group together when they saw people at the edges.  They were so used to getting food.  It was an amazing site.  Remind me of a scary movie;)

  • With Gimp I added a Teal Bokeh texture, which I got from Winterbright on DevianArt.
  • I added a scratched texture.
  • I added more scratches in the bottom left corner with a couple of scratch brushes from FrostBro on DevianArt.
  • Then I went to ipiccy and used the vintage filter-Polaroid Film.
  • Then I went to pixlr.com and added a frame - White Ripped - Tjugo.
Thanks for looking and hope your weekend is going great.  We had a three day weekend because of a snow storm that hit early Friday morning.

Flip Flop Edit Challenge Feb 1A

Feeling much better than last week. I found out over the weekend that Pixlr.com, who originally had the editing program photobucket was using, still has it. So, I had to send the good news. So, I went crazy on Facebook and twitter. I knew I wasn't the only one disappointed.

Though this week isn't going so smooth  either.  Guess we can't always have a good week.   It is only Wednesday, it still has a chance to improve:)

This pretty picture was supplied by Amy. It was taken at her wedding.

Saturday Revamp 3

Still not happy since this morning. Photobucket and my work not sending me my check...yet others have gotten theirs. Man, this weekend is sucking:(

So, on to my Saturday Revamp.

saturdayrevampbutton 2 photo saturdayrevampbutton2_zps8dca04e1.jpg

I took this pic in January of 2008 right after a snow fall.  The only time a leafless tree looks pretty is when snow or ice is on it.

  • Soften the area around the tree.
  • Added a light texture.

FFPH 5B & Boooo Photobucket

Today is not starting out well. I haven't gotten my check from work yet and Photobucket threw away their cool edits. Mobile apps are better than they are right now. Gosh, I hope they get back to the old way soon.
Little Adventures
Okay, time for another pic challenge with Flip Flop Photo Challenges. It is of Amy as a little girl.
Original

My edit
This is what I did:

Ipiccy:
  • Autofixed
  • Used the eye brightened tool on hair and outfit.
  • Airbrushed
  • Added a little blush on right cheek.
  • Used the mascara tool on the whole eye and hair.
  • Used the grunge texture which I faded to 30%.
  • Used the vintage filter Robert at 35%.

Photobucket:
  • This is where the disappointment started.  I found they threw all the good stuff away!!  So I used some kind of white grungy frame.  I was so mad I forgot to check the name cuz as soon as I did it I went to their facebook page and complained.  Then went to twitter and complained some more!
  • I tried to add my text but found it was not friendly at all.

Soooooo....I went back to ipiccy and added my text.

First picmonkey started to charge for their cool edits and now photobucket threw their cool edits away.

I am sooo irritated!!

I hope you all are having a better day!!

By the way...thanks for looking.
