Christmas Something Day 1

Well, here goes...starting day 1 with Christmas Something.

This is a candle holder Jason and I bought while we were in Frankenmuth in the beginning of November.  We just love Yankee Candle.  I love the crackle glass.

I don't know if it is just my computer, but I have lines on my blog!  Like a sheet of paper.  On my mini Ipad, it doesn't show any lines.  Since, it doesn't show on my pad, I am hoping it is not the blog itself.  I swear, ever since we let the kids down load some games on our computer, it runs slow and flakes on me.  We have virus protection so I know it ain't a bug.

Finally figured out the new Blogger HTML.  Now, maybe this will get my bloggy bug back.

Blogger, Pissing Me Off Again!

Blogger has changed my html. It looks totally different. I don't know where the section is to change my background or my margin for my header.   All the words have color coordination.  Just when I start to think I know what I am doing...BAM!!  They probably did this to force me to pay someone to do it.  Just like car manufactures.  They make it harder to change your oil now, so we are forced to go to the dealer or a mechanic!  Blogger...Jerks!!!!   Crap!

Finally Getting Crafty

Been a while since I have been on here. Haven't been in the crafty mood for a while now. I even lost the editing bug especially on Instagram. BUT!! Yesterday I got a little crafty. Our tree in our backyard drops big and beautiful leaves. I Mod Podge both side and glued them to string. Even my husband thought it looked good. Like I say, sometimes I create crap but sometimes I amaze myself. 
 

On a different note, I am thinking of changing my blog name. Like I said , I haven't been in the paper crafting mood in a while now.  There is also more to me than just scraping and stamping.  Just not sure what to name it.  Of course, does it matter...I have to start seriously blogging first.

Layers and A Rant

First, I am just so glad I have friends.  Thank you for listening:)

Second, it is Stamp-n-Doodle time!!  The challenge this week is to use layers.  I am also using the Mighty Sea image.  I colored this image mostly with the computer.  I changed the color from black/grays to blues, to bring out the water and sky.  Then I added a sunburst for the light.  Now the rest of it was crafting.  I added glitter embossing powder to bring sparkle to the water and colored the rays and the base of the lighthouse.

I say this because there are people out there who actually think digi stampers are a lower form of paper crafters!  I read the Stamp & Scrap magazine from the library and their comment section lately has people writing and complaining about people who use digis.  They say it is not stamping cuz we are not using rubbers.  I do own rubber stamps but digis are cheaper and free if you look around blogland.  Go to Free Digital Stamps and they have a post everyday of blogs giving away a free digi.  I print my image out and most of the time color it in with markers and pencils.  We are all paper crafters...why get angry with the medium we use??  Just wanted to put my 2 Cents in.

Should I Stay Or Is It time To Leave??

Lately, I have been thinking of my social networking hobby.  I am no longer getting that high feeling.  Been like that for a while...long while.  I haven't even played on Pinterest for a few months!!  I am even losing that Instagram high.  I don't know what to do.  I find myself staying off the computer for days except to check Facebook now and then.

So, here is my belated Stamp-n-Doodle post.  We were supposed to use flowers, die cut, ribbon or lace and two design papers.

I Don't Do That!

Totally in a funk lately and feeling out of sorts. Been like this for a while. Trying to shake it off.

Hey!!

The heat wave is finally done over here in Michigan. This morning was oppressive but we had a windy ten minutes which brought a cold front about an hour ago. It has cooled down but it is still humid. So yup, I still have the air on;)

Another challenge is up at Stamp-n-Doodle!! This time it is a sketch challenge.

There is a freebie that goes with it! You don't have to use the freebie or a Stamp-n-Doodle image to play but you get an extra entry to the challenge if you do use a SND image.

Woo Hoo! Air! and A Card

First I want to announce:

It was fixed early this morning so right now we are feeling a little better.


Here is another card I did for the SNR Card Universe Stamp-n-Doodle color challenge that I run. I used "To Everything There Is A Season" digi image from Stamp-n-Doodle. I use The Scrapmaster's Paradise color generator.

Here is the colors that came up.
I also used Unscripted Sketches #62 for my card
I also used Create With TLC sentiment image. The color combo was a toughie but I think I did it:)

It is HOT

It is so HOT right now! This past weekend our central air conditioning broke. We have a little unit in the bedroom. My computer is in a room that does not have air. I sweat just sitting by it. It is going to be in the 90s all week. In the mid 70s during the night! I am either hiding in the basement or my room. All I have to say is this sucks.

Camping Card

Here is the card I did for the current challenge over at Stamp-n-Doodle. You get the cool camping digi stamp for free! We were also to use the color brown, brads, and buttons. Got'em all!

Also, I am running the Stamp-n-Doodle page over at SNR Card Universe. Where every Wednesday I post a color challenge. I use The Scrapmaster's Paradise's color generator. Through out the whole week we are running challenges on our other sites. Go to the main blog at Stamp-n-Doodle and there is a schedule on the left sidebar.

In hopes of igniting my blogging again, I have been slowly changing the look of my blog, with the help of Michaela. I was trying to add something to my sidebar and it reports that I need to put a title with it. What??!! I never had to before!! So, it is a work in progress.
