There is a new challenge over at Stamp-N-Doodle!! The challenge is something NEW. This challenge was a bit hard for me. I couldn't think of anything new to do. So, the image is new to me;) Oh and the first time I am using the purple paper with the silver leafy pattern:) I am using the New Year Bears image. Come join us and play. You don't have to use a Stamp-N-Doodle image but if you do, you are entered twice into the challenge.
You can hardly see my Happy New Year stamp:( Hopefully the person who gets it in real life will see it.
I am also using this card for the Corrosive Challenge Blog. You are to use bling. My paper is bling, my thread is silver and my buttons have a silvery kind of blingness to it.
Thanks for looking:)

Our Salt Dough Ornaments
A few weeks ago I was visiting my friend Sandy of Moments of Mommyhood, when she gave the recipe on salt dough ornaments and keepsakes in this post. I thought it was so adorable. I knew the girls and I were going to do it. But we ran out of time and energy. Then my other friend, Noelle of Little Bits and Pieces Of Me, reminded me of the ornaments. So, we got busy this afternoon:)
The top box is the girl's collection. Adela had mixed all her colors together and all hers looked black. I had to contort my face so I wouldn't stifle her creativity. It was sooo hard not to speak up;)
The bottom box is mine. I went a little farther. After the paint dried, I used Mod Podge and added a little snow glitter to the snowman and red glitter to the stocking. Unfortunately, you can't see the coolness of the glitter.
We had so much fun that I told the girls we will do it again tomorrow with the extra dough. We are going to use animals cookie cutouts:)

Catchin' Up With Stamp-n-Doodle
I sure hope everyone had a great Christmas!!
I am way behind on posting for Stamp-n-Doodle. With Christmas, Lindsey's birthday party and my sinus and throat infection..I just ran out of time:/
This card I made for the current challenge over at Stamp-n-Doodle. It is a recipe challenge. You are to use a winter theme and sparkle. I used winter wonderland embossing powder to achieve my sparkle. I am also using Stamp-n-Doodle's snowman jamboree image. My card is based on Kittie's card over at Kittie Kraft. I thought Kittie's card was just so beautiful!!
There is still time to play with Stamp-n-Doodle's current recipe challenge.
This elf boot ornament was made with a template that Lynne has designed. She sells this and other templates at her Stamp-n-Doodle store.
Thanks for looking and enjoy your holiday vacation!

Beaded Snowflake
I have seen beaded snowflakes all over the blogesphere so this isn't new;) I remembered a few years ago buying pipe cleaners and clear beads to do crafts with the kids but never got around to doing it. This past weekend was a perfect time to do it and the munchkins were excited to do it!
You just need white pipe cleaners and clear beads. You cut the pipe cleaners in half and then wrap about 3 or 4 together in the middle. After you bead each line you fold the little bit of pipe cleaner left over. On one end leave a little more so you can make a small loop to use a hook with it. Easy Peasy!!
I am entering this post at A Crafty Soiree over at Katie's Nesting Spot.

'Tis the Season Blog Hop
Hi and welcome to my blog if you are here for the 'Tis the Season! Blog Hop. If you are following the list then you came here from Rita Hutcheson-Cobb. After me is The Paisley Turtle.
The project I did for the blog hop was a frame. This was the first time I did a frame.
I had all the materials expect for the frame which I bought at the Salvation Army for 99 cents. Also the first time I ever used Mod Podge!!
I used this with Paper Secret's technique challenge. The technique was to make an embellie similar to the snowflake on the frame I made. Click here to see some more examples and a link to the tutorial.
The picture was taken December of 2008. We had a snowstorm hit us and after my husband snowplowed and shoveled the snow we had massive mounds. My girls are sitting on one. That was a great 3 day weekend! School had been canceled!!
Enjoy the rest of the blog hop and thanks for looking:)
